Attracting the Game with Artificial Scents

After several years of hunting, I just recently moved from the edge of the land towards the deeper area of the woods. The thing is I could not seem to get close enough to the game in order to make a sure decent shot. In the year prior to this, I tried making use of game attractants. I guess, I did try a lot of them just to make a closer move towards the game I am eyeing. I must have bought a variety of products but my chances never increased. It has generally stayed the same. Although signs and tracks of the game are evident I still could not see the game itself. This made me almost give up on using those so called attractants.

Just as my hopes were dwindling, I came upon this particular product at the end of the season. I decided to give it try with a promise that is definitely going to be the last. So, I bought the new attractant. True enough, it is the last brand I tried but I sure am glad I persisted since this one really works.

The product looks like a large candy bar for deer. I used it during my next hunting expedition. I place the bar the night before and returned in the morning. This time, I was able to get a decent shot at a deer right in the midst of the lane I was cutting. I was only about 60 years and surprisingly the game was there seemingly awaiting my return. I hit the deer with a perfect shot through its head.

Pleasant Discovery

Glad with my discovery, I told a friend who also goes hunting about it. However, it did not work with him. Upon learning this I was quite appalled so we decided to make an experiment. We went to a hunting trip together and that is when we discovered that he did not use it in the same manner that I did. To validate our theory of him wrongly using the product before, he decided to try it again employing my way. This time the product worked.

Because of this, I made a conclusion that game attractants has a very big probability of being effective if used properly. With this in mind, I asked other fellow hunters what products they use as attractants. As expected some of the products I tried before that did not work, prove to be effective with them. So, I tried those products again using the guidelines they shared and found them to be expected.
