Hunting as a Form of Conservation
Contrary to what others may think, hunting can actually be considered a form of conservation as long as it is used as a control measure to preserve equilibrium between the population of game animals and their available habitat.
Hunters are often blamed for the decline of wildlife and unbalance population in certain areas, but as a matter of fact, it is the ever changing environment. The vegetation in any habitat can only sustain a definite number of animals. Once that capacity is exceeded, the animals will go hungry and eventually die until the number becomes stable again.
Provided that guidelines established by the federal law are observed, hunting can actually help in the balance of nature. Indeed, it does not only give benefits to satisfied hunters but to the equilibrium in the environment as well.
