Scouting before the Big Hunt
Most hunters will agree that the key to any successful hunt is good preparation. Preparing for the big game hunt starts several months before the season opens. Practicing your shot is as important as scouting before season begins. This allows you to distinguish the quality of deer and how many deer in the area that you are hunting.
Shed hunting can also be enjoyed during the off season. This allows you to take a look at what type of antlers the deer had during the last season which will indicate the size they will have in the next season. During the off season, it is also advisable to make some repairs to your stands or build new ones. Don’t worry much about the commotion caused by the reconstruction; it will be long forgotten when the big hunt begins.

Always see to it that you are physically, emotionally and mentally okay before going to hunting.
